Happy September!
DATE IRREGULARITIES FOR THE MONTH:
There are five Tuesdays in September and I am teaching all of them to make up for a missed Tuesday in August. :) I will teach all four Thursdays.
COMMUNITY SESSION:
IMPORTANT CHANGE! Our community sessions will now serve as monthly Homecoming check-in sessions! All past participants of Homecoming will be invited to join us to discuss the yamas/niyamas as usual, and we will have time allotted to share and ask questions about our self-love journeys. <3 Our next session will be on Sunday, September 27th from 3-4:30pm CT to discuss the fourth yama, brahmacharya (moderation) You may read the appropriate chapter in The Yamas and Niyamas: Exploring Yoga's Ethical Practice if you like, but it’s not required—we will also read parts of it together.
MEMBER SPOTLIGHT:
I am grateful for good medical news all around this month. Also celebrating Autumn’s move to Montana! Hallelujah for virtual communities that persist beyond time zones. :)
AS ALWAYS:
The links to Gentle/Restorative and Dynamic Yoga are always the same, the link to Yoga Nidra is always the same, and the link to the community session is always the same, so it doesn’t really matter which date you click on - but the calendar dates are all accounted for with individual events below. Let me know if you have any questions!
Thank you for honoring your membership level and only attending the classes you’ve registered for. We are working on the honor system! If you’d like to change your subscription level, please email me at naomi@naomifinkelstein.com.
Thursday: Gentle/Restorative Yoga
This class is centered around breathing, stretching, and relaxing. We will spend most of the class on the floor, either seated or lying down (chair options available).
Thursday: Yoga Nidra
Yoga Nidra means “yogic sleep” and is a guided, deep relaxation practice that directs the participant’s consciousness to different aspects of their being, guiding them towards a state of inner bliss and contentment. This practice can be done lying down or sitting and no movement is involved. Yoga Nidra is a surprisingly powerful practice and can bring benefits to all, including those who suffer from sleep struggles, trauma, anxiety, or depression (to any degree).
Tuesday: Dynamic Yoga
In this class you will find more strengthening and standing postures. Multiple options are consistently offered throughout, based on the needs of the students.
