Homecoming: 30 Days to Reconnect with your Body, Mind, and Spirit

Creating a sustainable self-care routine that feels authentic to you can be challenging–I’m here to help.

How many times have you “started again” - whether it be with a workout routine, a diet, a meditation practice…and how many times have you “fallen off the wagon”, as it were, much to your dismay?

So often, we blame ourselves when we can’t stick with a new routine. We figure it’s because we’re not motivated enough or we don’t have enough willpower, which can easily lead to a feeling of hopelessness. What’s the point? we think, I guess I’m just doomed to be stuck. I might as well stop trying.

What if I told you that the problem wasn’t your lack of willpower, but rather a result of your very own survival mechanism kicking into gear?

Yoga psychology teaches us that what’s familiar feels safe and what is unfamiliar feels like a threat. One can imagine then, that introducing new habits might put our nervous system into a hyper-aroused state, doing whatever it can to bring things back to the way things were. Furthermore, if you have a history of dieting, disordered eating, or eating disorders, your system is likely still, to some degree, on high alert for any change to your habits that might indicate danger.

Homecoming offers a unique approach to building habits–one that honors the wisdom of our nervous system, the trauma of our past harmful approaches to “wellness”, and the reality of our current lives. In this course, you’ll find a gentle and powerful approach to change–so gentle in fact, that your nervous system won’t even see it coming! And so powerful that you’ll never look at habit-building the same way again.

The program only requires you to make two commitments before you start:

  1. Press “play” on a short video every day.

  2. Reflect weekly.

If you can commit to those two things, so much more is possible. And you know what? There’s even room for not being perfect! Imagine that. 🙂

This course is for you if…

  • you are looking to cultivate a deeper sense of wellbeing, peace, and ease in your life

  • you’ve struggled in the past to incorporate new habits into your daily routine

  • you blame yourself for not having more “willpower”

  • you are ready to get better at starting again

  • you’re interested in (or at least open to/curious about) yoga and meditation

  • you are open to changing the way you approach making changes

At the end of this thirty-day journey, you can expect to be ready to take on the next thirty! You will also..

  • be kinder and more forgiving towards yourself

  • feel more present in your day-to-day life and attuned to your feelings and needs

  • have a more relaxed and flexible idea of what it looks and feels like to be “on track”

  • have an expanded sense of what “counts” as self-care
