A space without competition or pressure, where the true intention and purpose of Yoga is prioritized and celebrated…

Whether you have chronic conditions that make typical yoga classes feel inaccessible, you’ve had unpleasant experiences with teachers in the past who didn’t understand how to accommodate your body, or you’re just looking for a community of people who you can relate to, The Sanctuary offers space to BE, to get stronger, move energy, and release stress and tension. 

In The Sanctuary, you’ll be nurtured and supported to move, grow, and expand at your own pace. With up to twelve LIVE monthly classes available to you (you can customize your package to fit your needs), it’s your one-stop-shop for gentle yoga, dynamic yoga, restorative yoga, and yoga nidra, plus supportive community connection. Your participation is entirely up to you—no requirements and no expectations. We are a true community here–we don’t just show up, practice, and leave. We know and care about one another, we share about our lives, and offer one another support. Sound like a dream? It kind of is!

12 Live Yoga Classes per Month

Our typical schedule is:

  • Tuesdays, 7:30-8:30pm CT - Dynamic Yoga (4 classes/month)

  • Thursdays, 4-5 pm CT - Gentle/Restorative Yoga (4 classes/month)

  • Thursdays, 5:30-6:30pm CT - Yoga Nidra (4 classes/month)

1 Community Session per Month (free to all - invite your friends!)

On the last Sunday of each month (unless otherwise specified in the monthly update) we’ll meet from 3-4:30pm CT, for a community yoga philosophy discussion. Each month we explore one of the yamas/niyamas from yoga philosophy and reflect on how we understand it and how it relates to our lives. 


The Introductory Yoga Video Series and Class Recordings Bank

You’ll have access to nineteen instructional videos, each of which goes over one or more aspects of the style of Hatha Yoga that I teach and several options for how to do each asana (posture). You can revisit these videos at any time while you’re a member if you need a quick refresher on something or if you want to practice on your own.

As a member, you also have access to 50+ recordings of previous classes of all styles and types. Great for if you have to miss a live class or you want to add a weekly class to your routine.

The Classes:

I do my very best to ensure that all classes are accessible for people of all body types, sizes, and abilities. Our class structure typically follows this format:

  • Community check-in, 5-10 minutes

  • Centering/initial relaxation/pranayama, 5-10 minutes

  • Yoga practice, 30-40 minutes

  • Final relaxation, 10 minutes

  • Checkout, 2-3 minutes

What I mean when I say “accessible”: I offer options in all classes to support people with sensitive knees, wrists, and backs, folks who cannot easily get up and down from the floor, and folks who prefer to practice in a chair. If you have a limitation not named here, contact me and we can discuss.

  • This class is centered around breathing, stretching, and relaxing. We will spend most of the class on the floor, either seated or lying down (chair options available).

  • In this class you will find more strengthening and standing postures. Multiple options are consistently offered throughout, based on the needs of the students.

  • This is a practice where props are used to support yourself in postures so you can comfortably relax in them for an extended period of time. This practice allows for deep relaxation and nervous system regulation, which can lead to many benefits for mental and physical wellbeing (restorative yoga can easily be practiced on a bed if getting on the floor is not accessible).

  • Yoga Nidra means “yogic sleep” and is a guided, deep relaxation practice that directs the participant’s consciousness to different aspects of their being, guiding them towards a state of inner bliss and contentment. This practice can be done lying down or sitting and no movement is involved. Yoga Nidra is a surprisingly powerful practice and can bring benefits to all, including those who suffer from sleep struggles, trauma, anxiety, or depression (to any degree).

    Folks who purchase a 12-session package of individual sessions get free access to all classes and videos in The Sanctuary for 3-months from the date of purchase.

With any monthly membership you also get access to my full bank of class recordings.

FAQ

  • Book a free call with me and let’s chat! I’m more than happy to talk through your concerns and help you determine if this is a good fit for you.

  • Since this is a community and not just classes, I do not offer drop-ins and ask that you commit to at least one month of classes. You can cancel at any time.

  • Not at all. You are welcome to have your camera off if you prefer. I’m proud to say that most members of The Sanctuary join with nerves about having their camera on, and end up turning it on at some point because of how welcoming and non-judgmental we are. And of course, no pressure.

  • When you register, you’ll be signing up for a monthly membership and you’ll be charged automatically each month until/unless you cancel. Please cancel at least one week before your renewal date.
