A space without competition or pressure, where the true intention and purpose of Yoga is prioritized and celebrated…

The Sanctuary is a monthly customizable virtual Yoga membership

Here, you’ll be nurtured and supported to grow and expand at your own pace. It’s a refuge from the harsh pressures, judgments, and criticisms of a world steeped in diet/fitness culture, ableism, and anti-fat bias.

With up to 12 LIVE monthly classes available to you (you can customize your package to fit your needs), it’s your one-stop-shop for gentle yoga, dynamic yoga, restorative yoga, and yoga nidra, plus supportive community connection. Your participation is entirely up to you—no requirements and no expectations. We’ll honor and prioritize all of your many layers: the physical, energetic, mental, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual bodies while practicing Yoga asana, pranayama, meditation, and conscious relaxation.

12 Live Yoga Classes per Month

Our typical schedule is:

  • Tuesdays, 7:30-8:30pm CT - Dynamic Yoga (4 classes/week)*

  • Thursdays, 4-5 pm CT - Alternating Gentle Yoga and Restorative Yoga (4 classes/week)*

  • Thursdays, 5:30-6:30pm CT - Yoga Nidra (4 classes/week)

I’ll send an email the first of each month with the month’s schedule.

*Gentle/restorative and dynamic yoga classes are available only to those who have worked with me one-on-one or who have done a course with me. Yoga nidra is open to anyone.

1 Community Session per Month (free to all - invite your friends!)

On the last Sunday of each month (unless otherwise specified) we’ll meet from 3-4:30pm CT, for a community yoga philosophy session. Each month we explore one of the yamas/niyamas from yoga philosophy and share how it relates to our lives.

The Introductory Yoga Video Series

You’ll have access to 19 instructional videos, each of which goes over one or more aspects of the style of Hatha Yoga that I teach and several options for how to do each asana (posture). You can revisit these videos at any time while you’re a member if you need a quick refresher on something or if you want to practice on your own.

The Classes:

All classes begin with a short initial relaxation and some sort of pranayama (breathing exercises). All classes end with at least 5 minutes of savasana (final relaxation). 

  • Gentle: This class is centered around breathing, stretching, and relaxing. We will spend most of the class on the floor, either seated or lying down. 

  • Dynamic: In this class you will find more strengthening and standing postures. Multiple options are consistently offered throughout, based on the needs of the students. 

  • Restorative: This is a practice where props are used to support yourself in postures so you can comfortably relax in them for an extended period of time. This practice allows for deep relaxation and nervous system regulation, which can lead to many benefits for mental and physical wellbeing. 

  • Yoga Nidra: Yoga Nidra means “yogic sleep” and is a guided, deep relaxation practice that directs the participant’s consciousness to different aspects of their being, guiding them towards a state of inner bliss and contentment. This practice can be done lying down or sitting and no movement is involved. Yoga Nidra is a surprisingly powerful practice and can bring benefits to all, including those who suffer from sleep struggles, trauma, anxiety, or depression (to any degree).

How to Join

  • Package options are:

    • 1 class per week (4 per month): Sliding scale, $40-$100

    • 2 classes per week (8 per month): Sliding scale, $80-200

    • 3 classes per week (12 per month): Sliding scale, $120-300

    You will receive an email on the first of each month with the schedule for the month. 

  • With any monthly membership you also get access to a bank of recordings of the type of classes you are registered for

  • Yoga Video Access Only: Receive access to a bank of all types of class recordings: Sliding Scale— $20-$45/month

  • Community Sessions Only: Join us for FREE once a month! Sign up to get the monthly email.

  • Scholarships: My goal is to consistently offer 2 “pay-what-you-can” memberships each month. To apply, please email me and I will be in touch with you when there is space.

FAQ

  • Feel free to email me with your concerns and I can let you know what I think. You could also drop-in to a Gentle/Restorative class (they are the most accessible and slow-placed) and see how it feels before committing to a membership.

  • Yes! You can drop in to any class for $20. Please fill out the registration form and indicate your interest—I will follow up shortly!

  • When you register, I’ll send you an invoice to set up your monthly payment. You’ll enter your credit card info to pay for the first month and then will be automatically charged each month.
